Patient Research Engagement Board

A key initiative of the CEAR Core is to establish a Patient Research Engagement Board at Penn Medicine. The overall purpose of creating a Patient Research Engagement Board is to give patients at Penn Medicine a voice in the research being conducted within the hospital system, while also providing researchers with important feedback on their projects from the perspective of the patients.

The Penn Medicine Patient Research Engagement Board is expected to be formed in late spring 2018. The Board will review research proposals from Penn investigators, provide feedback on specific proposals, and give insight into their experiences as patients or family members of patients. Proposals at all stages of the research process are welcome.
