Patient Research Engagement Board

A key initiative of the CEAR Core is to establish a Patient Research Engagement Board at Penn Medicine. The overall purpose of the Patient Research Engagement Board is to give patients at Penn Medicine a voice in the research being conducted within the hospital system, while also providing researchers with important feedback on their projects from the perspective of patients. At the request of Penn researchers, a Board will be constituted to review research proposals, provide feedback on specific proposals, and give insight into experiences as patients or family members of patients. Proposals at all stages of the research process are welcome.
