Childhood trauma can lead to PTSD, but traditional diagnostic tools can be challenging for young children. This study evaluated a new, game-based version of the CPSS-5, a PTSD screening tool. The game version, CPSS-5 Screen Team Game, was found to be reliable and correlated well with the traditional self-report version. A cutoff score of 9 on the game was identified as a potential indicator of probable PTSD. This game-based approach could be a valuable tool for identifying childhood PTSD in primary care settings, allowing for early intervention and support.
