The study aimed to understand the barriers and facilitators to prescribing guideline-directed medical therapy (GDMT) for heart failure in American Indian/Alaska Native patients receiving care through the Indian Health Service (IHS). The researchers conducted a survey of primary care providers at two IHS facilities in the Navajo Nation to gather insights on their experiences and challenges in delivering GDMT.
